Delete your account

You can delete your account and everything in it from the app. If you have Plus, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings: deleting your account doesn’t cancel Plus.

1. Open Screenshot OS and go to You.
2. Tap Manage account, then Delete account. (You can also find Delete account under Privacy and your data.)
3. Enter your password to confirm.

Your screenshots, library and login are removed straight away, and nothing is kept for later use. Copies can remain for a short time in two places: our hosting provider’s backups, which expire within 7 days, and OpenAI, which may keep a screenshot you asked it to analyse for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse. If you can’t get into the app, email hello@screenshotos.net from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you.

Reset your password

On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Forgot password?. Open the link in the email on the same phone to choose a new password.

Screenshots and AI analysis

When you tap Understand this screenshot, that screenshot is sent to OpenAI to suggest a next step. You’re asked before the first one is sent, and you can withdraw permission any time under You → Privacy and your data. Read more in our privacy policy.

Common questions

What’s the sample library?

Without an account, you can explore Screenshot OS with sample screenshots that live only on your phone. Signing in opens your own private library; the samples are never uploaded.

Why didn’t a reminder notify me?

Check that notifications are on for Screenshot OS in your phone’s settings. Reminders still appear under Today when they’re due.

Can Screenshot OS read my calendar?

No. When you add an event, your phone’s own calendar screen opens so you can check and save it. Screenshot OS only asks to add events.
